We are sorry, but we are still closed at the moment.
Unfortunately, we don’t expect to open until next year.
Its been a very dry summer and the groundwater is around 3 metres! lower than it was this time last year, and the lake is currently low and there is therefore a lot of weed.

We always want to offer our anglers the best possible experience, and we feel that won’t be possible until we’ve had much more rain and the groundwater levels have risen.

Amport Trout Fishery is a small, still water trout fishery located in the picturesque county of Hampshire, just a few short miles from Andover, off the A303 close to the villages of Thruxton and Amport.

The lake is set in idyllic surroundings, gin-clear chalk springs keep the lake cool and crystal clear throughout the year, the clarity of the water makes for a perfect stalking lake, which is well stocked with Rainbow Trout providing the ideal, relaxed and tranquil venue for fly fishing.

We are open seven days a week, catering to all ages and experiences, and offer secure parking on site.
